YOUTH DANCE

Dance cultivates an appreciation for artistry while building coordination and confidence in kids.

We provide dance programs for all levels in a progressive format. Programs run throughout the year in several dance styles.

SCHOOL YEAR 2023-24 CLASSES

WEDNESDAY:

FRIDAY:

  • 4:00 pm Hip Hop (Ages 3-5)
  • 5:00 pm Hip Hop (Ages 6-9)

SATURDAY:

  • 10:00 am Acro (Ages 3-5)
  • 10:00 am Me & My Dancer (Ages 1-2)
  • 10:45 am Me & My Dancer (Ages 2-3)
  • 11:00 am Acro (Ages 6-8)

Parent/Caregiver and Child Classes

Me & My Dancer Ages 1-2 and Ages 2-3

An introduction to dance for our youngest dancers. This parent-child class uses music and movement as a means to build sensory and gross motor skills. We’ll encourage children to use their imagination through the use of props, music and creative movement.

Beginner Level Classes

Dance Combo Ages 3-5 and Ages 6-9

This beginner class will focus on the awareness of alignment, coordination and rhythm while teaching many basic steps and dance positions. Dancers will be taught how to properly stretch and warm up their bodies. Instill a love of music and dance in your growing child.

Specialty Classes

Hip Hop Ages 3-5 and Ages 6-9

Hip Hop is a fast-paced and energetic dance style using funky street dance moves, set to hip-hop music. This class is a great strength-building and cardio workout that includes warm-up, stretching, and learning combinations. This class will focus on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style and building a vocabulary of steps. Hip Hop class is great for fun, dance technique, and exercise! All music and movement are age-appropriate.

Acro Ages 3-5 and Ages 6-9

Acro teaches strength, flexibility, and tumbling. Each class includes skills from each of the basic movement groups: splits and flexibility, roll skills, backbend or counterbalance skills, and handstand or vertical balance skills. This class focuses on developing acrobatic skills and holds to seamlessly improve strength, flexibility, and balance.
