The YMCA Dance Program is a progressive recreational program that enriches dancers from ages 2 to 92. We offer programming for boys and girls in various dance styles as well as adult classes to build strength and flexibility. We also offer programs at some of the branches for dancers who are looking for more challenging and pre-competitive dance instruction. Classes are designed to give quality dance instruction in a fun and enjoyable learning environment.

 

The dance classes follow the YMCA sessions and it is recommended that students take multiple sessions of each level until they are ready to progress. If you are unsure of the class your child should take, please contact one of our branches to speak to the dance program supervisor. Every year, our YMCA Branches participate in an annual dance recital, which takes place in June. The annual recital is a two-session commitment and runs during our Spring I and Spring II sessions. All non-parent/child classes are welcomed to participate in the recital during those sessions.
