YMCA CHILDCARE ... A GOOD PLACE TO GROW!

At the Hockomock Area YMCA, our childcare programs help build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities by providing affordable, quality childcare from infants to teens for more than 1,200 families in over 15 area towns.  The Hockomock Area YMCA is proud to join other YMCAs as the leading provider of licensed childcare in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as we strive to meet the many varied needs of families in the 21st century.

We build strong kids… by providing a safe, educational experience for children ages 6 weeks to 14 years through activities that promote the social, emotional, and age-appropriate intellectual and physical growth in each child in centers that are maintained to be a safe and healthy environment for all ages.

We build strong families… by operating programs during the hours that working families need and by providing opportunities for parent involvement and encouraging open, honest communication between parents, children, and staff.

We build strong communities… by providing full- and part-time childcare at YMCA facilities as well as in local schools and at local churches. We also offer confidential scholarship assistance through our annual Reach Out for Youth & Families campaign. All of our childcare programs include a character development component that promotes the values of honesty, caring, responsibility, and respect for all.

The Office of Childcare Services licenses all of our programs; in addition we are inspected yearly by the local health, fire, and building departments in the communities where we operate childcare centers.
