Team Philosophy

The philosophy of the X-TREME Gymnastics Team is to provide a competitive gymnastics program that allows all interested gymnasts a chance to develop their abilities in an environment that stresses the overall growth of the individual in a way that is consistent with the YMCA’s values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, & Responsibility.

X-TREME Gymnasts compete in USA Gymnastics meets as well as YMCA meets.  We feel that this provides our gymnasts with the motivation and recognition they need to succeed in this sport.  We feel that USA Gymnastics is an important governing organization and provides a more challenging arena to showcase our gymnasts’ talents.  For more information about USA Gymnastics please visit their website at http://www.usagymnastics.org.

Types of Teams

Level 4

Gymnasts who show strong interest and advanced ability.
 

Level 5B

Gymnasts who have competed as a Level 4 gymnast and show advanced skills for Level 5.

USA Level 5-10

Gymnasts who have completed the requirements to compete as a USA gymnast.  

Skill Testing Is Required For Placement On Any Team Level
