Personal Training - is a great method to achieve your fitness goals. Whether you lack the motivation, don’t know what you’re doing, or simply need to change your routine. Our personal trainers have the expertise to help you succeed.

Small Group Training - Get the motivation and instruction of a Personal Trainer in a group atmosphere.  Work with a group of 2-6 people to see maximum results in your fitness level with less of an impact on your wallet.  Help build strength, cardiovascular endurance, balance and flexibility - all while having fun in a group setting!

Sports Performance Training (SPT):
Being a great athlete goes beyond having talent. You need to constantly build on that potential. This SPT Program will make you a better athlete by conditioning your body and training it to perform better.

Group Exercise:
We offer group exercise classes for every age and fitness level.  We encourage you to check out our complete list of classes offered to find what is right for you. Classes are free with membership. Go to the Group Ex links on the right to view current class schedules at your branch.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a twelve-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors. This program fulfills the important need of supporting the increasing number of cancer survivors who find themselves in the transitional period between completing their cancer treatment and the shift to feeling physically and emotionally strong enough to attempt to return to their normal life or their "new normal". The program is conducted outside of medical facilities to emphasize that LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is about health, not disease."   More information on LIVESTRONG.

Chronic Disease Prevention
The Hockomock Area YMCA has developed the Prescription for a Healthy Lifestyle (PHL) Initiative to raise awareness, change behavior, and  develop healthy lifestyles among those most at-risk for, or diagnosed with, heart disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, cancer and other chronic diseases.  By working with individuals and families, organizations and communities, the Hockomock Area YMCA’s health innovation initiative helps people live well, reduce their risk for chronic disease, and reclaim their health when they’ve been affected by one. 

Our supportive 12-week, small group physical activity programs are making a positive difference in the lives of individuals.  These sessions are provided at no charge, and include a complimentary family membership while enrolled in one of our initiatives, with a goal of creating healthy habits for the entire family.  For more information about our chronic disease programs, contact phl@hockymca.org or 508-772-1310.
